Cleanliness Week
AMES Kids organised a cleanliness week from 7th
to 11th Sep-2015. Cleanliness is one of the most important aspects
of Islam, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said Islam is Beautiful & that’s why its
followers are beautiful so school has also placed emphasis on cleanliness &
purity. Even an older proverb says cleanliness is next to godliness so better
keep ourselves clean & bright. School has given a enthusiastic &
passionate call for cleanliness mission. HM Feroza Ahmed emphatically stressed
the teachers to teach the students about cleanliness which is the foremost part
of Islam, and to inculcate the spirit of cleanliness among the
children-Teachers had advised students about the importance of cleanliness by
practically showing & explaining them in the assembly each day. As on
Monday it was shown, we should wash our hands before and after eating and wash
fruits & vegetables before eating. Then on Tuesday students were asked to wash
their face and wipe it with the napkin and put some cream on the face, then on
Wednesday they were taught to dress up neatly and come to school .on Thursday
teachers asked the students to pick up all the bits of paper and dry leaves and
throw it in the dustbin lastly on Friday students were asked to clean their classes with soapy water & sponge, through
which they learnt how to keep their class, home and surrounding clean.
At the end
of the week teachers performed a small skit on cleanliness and students were asked
to prepare cleanliness badges through which it will remain in their minds.
